july 14: melaney, from long island

so melaney isn't exactly a stranger.  we met at a journalism conference here in the city two summers ago, and we were able to reconnect for an afternoon here a little bit ago!

melaney's wisdom is:

"i know it sounds cliche, but i think that it is really important to not judge a book by its cover.  you never know what someone is going through, or what they have been through.  that's why its also important to always smile at people  (just in case, you know..)"
